Gerardo Cutillo

Gerardo Cutillo, born in St. Stefano Italy, passed peacefully on the night of August 18th in Nanaimo B.C.
Gerardo was predeceased by his father Vito Cutillo, his mother Carmella Cutillo, his brother Frank, and his sister Maria.
He is survived by his partner Annetta, his ex-wife Shirley, his 3 children Melissa, Cameron and Carmen, several grandchildren and his sisters Antonetta, Rosa, and Josephin.
Gerardo came to Canada when he was 18 years old with the guiding hand of his favorite Uncle Leo and Aunt Livia. He then met Shirley and soon after married and started a family. He worked at Cominco in Trail BC for 25 years and then made a move to Vancouver where he became a machinist and a welder.
Gerardo was a gifted man who had the ability to fix just about anything! He was a valued employee wherever he worked and was noted for his innate ability to come up with ingenious and creative ways to solve problems. He was a dedicated family man, a fun loving friend and a loyal employee. He prided himself on always doing his best! He loved to joke, enjoy company and dance the night away when he could. As he left this world, the song impressed in all our minds that gives a smile in our hearts is: "I Did It My Way".
He will always be cherished, loved and remembered. He will be greatly missed.
