Marjorie LOUISE (Cartie) Wells Obituary (1925 - 2024)

In loving memory ~ Marjorie Louise Wells, 98 years, passed away peacefully at home April 8, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Jack (d. 2008) and son Raymond (d. 2023) (Donna). She leaves behind her remaining 5 sons, Larry (Laura), Lorne (Leslie), David (Diane), Kevin (Dorothy) and Trevor (Louise); 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Mom (Nana) will be greatly missed for her unconditional love and devotion to all her family. Marjorie was born and grew up in Revelstoke, where she met and married Jack. Most of their adult lives were spent in Nanaimo, BC, where they raised their six sons. She was a wonderful homemaker who excelled at any task she attempted. Mom loved to bake, sew, knit, crochet, quilt and create a variety of crafts. She also bowled on League Teams for many years winning numerous trophies. Through her many activities she met and made special lifelong friends. She also cruised to Alaska and around the British Isles. Mom and Dad also enjoyed many summer camping and fishing trips at Rebecca Spit on Quadra Island. In 2010, Mom moved to a Campbell River apartment overlooking Discovery Passage to live independently and to be closer to family. Until her passing, she was always texting and e-mailing to her very grateful family. A private Celebration of Life is planned at Rebecca Spit.
